For 11 years, we came together at The Paramount Theatre every spring for DOORS: Opening Doors to the Arts to celebrate and support the many ways Seattle Theatre Group benefits our community. We fundraised in order to open doors to the arts for everyone, with a fun, casual gala that featured nationally known artists sharing the stage with young people from STG's Education and Community Programs. Past headliners have included The Roots, Elvis Costello, Brandi Carlile, Leslie Odom Jr., Dave Matthews, Jeff Bridges, Melissa Etheridge, Jon Batiste, Zakir Hussain, Alan Stone, and Bill Frisell, to name a few.

In 2020, STG had to make the difficult decision to not host our 12th annual DOORS at the theatre, in favor of virtually coming together for an online auction and video performance. Now, a full year later, we have to host our gala online again. In 2021, we have rebranded it Reopening Doors to the Arts. STG has had to make a lot of changes over the past year, but we are finally beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel. This year’s virtual gala will support our mission as always, with an eye toward reopening our three theatres in the not-too-distant future.

We know you are considering the many ways to support your family, friends, and community during this difficult time. Please give consideration to how you can also help STG. The rebuild process will be slow. Your donations are our primary source of revenue during our closure, and we are reliant on donations while we continue to reschedule much of 2021’s programming. Please know that the safety of our patrons remains our top priority as we actively explore a reopening plan. We cannot wait to welcome you back to our theatres!
